At Atlantic Pain Interventions & Rehabilitation, the goal of Sastry K. Topalli, MD, is to provide comprehensive interventional pain management services to adults living in and around Chesapeake, Virginia, and throughout the Hampton Roads and Tidewater area. Dr. Topalli develops custom treatment plans individually tailored to address all types of musculoskeletal pain, including back pain, neck pain, and joint pain, as well as myofascial pain, and neuropathy and rehabilitative services.

Over the decades of his services in the Hampton Roads communities, he emphasized his approach of treating his patients by not only minimizing opioid medication usage but also by using any medication only as needed. His goal is to improve general well being, promote normal functionality and the healthy lifestyle of his patients.

Dr. Topalli approaches each individual's complaints in a methodical fashion. He sets aside plenty of time to meet with and understand each patient's unique concerns and uses his years of training and expertise to minimize pain, restore function, and improve quality of life.

He uses various conservative and non-invasive treatment options including Physical therapy exercises, rehabilitation techniques, a wide range of medication, bracing, and Laser therapy before considering the state of the art interventional techniques, spinal injections, radiofrequency ablation via image/fluoroscopy guidance. He selectively performs regenerative procedures to help patients manage their pain safely and effectively.

In addition, Dr. Topalli works closely with many other specialists, including neurologists, psychologists, spine surgeons, primary care physicians, and yoga and alternative medicine therapists, to optimally coordinate the care of his patients.

Our goal is to use Interventional Pain Techniques to help our patients: Approach individual patient's complaints in a methodical fashion Utilize the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Judicious use of various pain medications, including opioids as needed Tailoring the management ranging from least invasive rehabilitation methods, modalities to minimally invasive fluoroscopic guided interventional procedures Restore the function and improve the quality of life

We accept most traditional PPO insurance plans and Medicare. Please contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. Qualifications for insurance coverage may differ due to the uniqueness of each procedure. If we are not contracted with your plan, please let us know.
